Sagar, 08 April 2018: "Divine Mercy! This is the Easter gift that the Church receives from the risen Christ and offers to humanity" said Pope St. John Paul II.
The Second Sunday of Easter, ever since the year of the Great Jubilee, is also called "Divine Mercy Sunday." Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever! (Ps 117:1). This miracle of mercy has radically changed humanity's destiny. It is a miracle in which is unfolded the fullness of the love of the Father who, for our redemption, does not even draw back before the sacrifice of His Only-begotten Son.
Divine Mercy Sunday was celebrated solemnly at Sagar Parish. Fr. Sudeep Andrews presided over the the Eucharist which was followed by a one day retreat led by Bro. Mahime, Bro. Amruth and team from BCCRS, Bangalore. Bro. Mahime explained the significance of Divine Mercy and how to reflect it in our day to day life. The retreat ended with an Adoration and healing service. Divine Mercy Posters were distributed to all the participants.
