Sagar, 02 May 2018 : "How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!" (Psalm 133:1 New Living Translation) The Annual Feast celebrated at Sagar Parish was a visible expression of this Biblical statement.
Joy overflowed in the hearts of the Faithful as the Flag was hoisted by Rev. Fr. Santhosh Pereira on Sunday, 29 April 2018 in the presence of huge crowds of Faithful as a preparation for the Annual Feast.
His Excellence, Most Rev. Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Shimoga was given a cordial welcome by the Parish Council Members and Finance Committee Members on 02 May 2018. The Festal Mass drew massive crowds of devotees of St. Joseph from Coastal areas as well as other parts of the Diocese. A short cultural programme by YCS and ICYM followed.
Very Rev. Msgr. Felix Noronha, the Vicar General, Fr. Stany D'Souza, the Chancellor, Fr. Ephraim Dias, the Director of Shanthi Ashrama and several priests were present for the concelebrated High Mass.
In the evening the traditional procession in honour of St. Joseph proceeded in the highways and important streets of the town witnessing our Faith to the people of Sagar.
